BURNOUT.
What do you understand by the term burnout ?
This is a state where you feel like you're totally exhausted either physically or emotionally , can be cause by (Environment factors /toxic working place ) not meeting certain demands and can also leads to physical damage or anxiety disorder .
Burnout is categorized into several stages, we have the first phase called Honeymoon, its the beginning of the start, no symptoms showing but you're always full of high expectations and full of enthusiasm (Mostly if you have landed a new job, you're always very productive and take every measure to make sure the organization goals are meet), the second phase is Onset of stress, during this phase you start noticing that some days are different from others in term of being tired and feeling like you're not motivated to do anything, the third stage that's called chronic stress, you feel pressured and overwhelmed, it's symptoms are very common and easy to notice, i.e Insomnia, pain, unfocused thinking and less socialization. the third phase which is Habitual burnout can be related to the previous stage but this is quite different, at this phase you either feel helpless, self-doubt, feeling alone in the world, trapped, defeated and also lose motivation, Burnout can be a permanent condition but it can be reversible too.
Burnout toward students , can be hard to notice or detectable , majority of student undergo
burnout stages without them knowing and might also leads to poor performance in Exams , its hard to know how much stress students might be feeling however such activities can be of help to control it.
Create time for interaction and start making new friends, Create a good relationship with Professors & Lecturers, Avoid procrastination, Get outside, Travel ,Sing ...
HOW ORGANISATIONS CAN WORK ON BURNOUT.
Organisations (companies ) can play a big role in fighting burnout within their workers and also vice versa, we spend a lot of time at work /school but only spend fewer hours at home (that if weekends are excluded, running an organisation isn't easy and it requires a lot of concentration and commitment too when certain goals aren't meet, pressure from Bosses can make you feel like resigning,
Work overload is the major factor that leads to burnout, this is usually done to cut cost (may be), Lack of control, inadequate compensation, fewer leave days and Conflict values.
